Do not lie: you have already necessarily found yourself with the straw-yellow hair with a small tendency to turn towards the orange in roots. We do not make it to us!

The murder weapon: a house coloration. The one that we find in supermarkets and that sells us dream on the packaging. Except that quite often, the reality is quite different and your color is completely missed.

Why did I miss my coloring?

The coloring product always works, but it can act the wrong way if it is not chosen correctly. For this reason some women feel they have missed their color: the coloring worked well, but they do not get the nuance they were hoping for. Thus, it is possible to miss a coloration in several ways:

  • We can have chosen a lightening product while we have a very dark base color, the result will be a red-orange not very aesthetic.
  • It may also happen to choose a color too dark compared to its base color because you have considered yourself darker than in reality. In this case, the product has acted in spite of everything, and we get a color that we find far too dark for our taste.
  • The last way to miss a coloration is the exposure time. Some people mistakenly think that the longer they leave the color, the better. No ! If exposure times are advised on the instructions it is not for nothing. Especially since some hair captures color faster than others.

Indeed, if we shorten the exposure time in the lightening phase, we take the risk of having orange reflections, that we see our white hair by transparency or that the reflections can not be seen.

In short, it is necessary to know to determine its basic color to choose its coloring in function and to respect scrupulously the time of installation which is indicated on the notice of the product. If we respect these two points, no chance of losing our colo home.

Solutions to repair the damage

Despite all these good advice, we still miss our coloring? No panic, there are solutions:

  • Color is too dark

Nothing is simpler: the goal of the game is to make the color disgorge as quickly as possible.

To do this, simply accelerate the frequency of shampoos, opting for a very moisturizing product not recommended for colored hair in normal times. The ideal is to wash your head every day and let the shampoo set 2 to 3 minutes.

Then, once or twice a week, make a mask to moisturize deeply, which will prevent the pigments from impregnating the hair. A dozen days of this draconian diet, and we should get the color that we want at first.

  • Red or orange reflections appeared

The solution is more complicated: it is necessary to darken to mask the unsightly reflections and thus to redo a coloring.

It is absolutely necessary to let at least 15 days between two colorations (normally it takes 4 to 6 weeks) to maintain the health of our hair and scalp. It is out of question to do three colorations in a weekend, at the risk of ending up with ultra-fragile hair, or even break them completely.

These two tricks should help us to get out of a bad capillary surprise, knowing that logically, if we have correctly diagnosed our coloring and we were not mistaken in evaluating our color of base, there is no reason that one is missing (still).
