In winter , the ideal temperature to keep at home would be 19.7 ° C (against 22.3 ° C in summer). But the more chilly of us tend to increase the heating as soon as they are cold. A yo-yo effect that increases tenfold the energy expenditure of certain households, increases their electricity bills and is not necessarily good for health.

The heat, a women's story?

According to a recent IFOP study for Atlantic * (manufacturer of heating, water heaters, boilers, etc.), 74% of women consider that one of the key criteria for thermal comfort is soft heat .

And in terms of warmth, women are more anchored than men in well-being and cocooning. Good news, there are more and more cute objects 100% cocooning that allow us to have hotter without increasing the heat of the radiator ...

To gain a few degrees, our grandparents would heat a brick in the fireplace before slipping it to the bottom of their bed. A technique that allowed them to fall asleep in a warm bed. The brick then turned into a hot-water bottle before leaving room for a whole lot of wicked and wacky objects that help us to get hotter.

What are these objects that keep us warm?

Here is a small selection of items to get a little warmer!
- After 15 minutes in the traditional oven (120 ° C) or 90 seconds in the microwave oven, linseed slippers are still warm after 1 hour. Convenient to keep your feet warm.
- Adjustable thanks to a small remote control, the electric heating cover reaches the desired heat in just a few minutes. Malignant to warm up quickly-done well but be careful, we make sure not to leave it running all night.
- The heating mattress is used in the same way. It is also often used in beauty institutes during massages in particular.
- Garments that retain heat : we think of course the traditional Damart but more and more competitors land on the market. This is notably the case of the Japanese brand Uniqlo, which offers heat-absorbing underpants at more attractive prices.
- The soft plaid with sleeves , convenient when watching TV and using its computer or its phone at the same time for example. But not hyper aesthetic and immediately less practical if you want to snuggle up 2 ...
- The hot water bottle : a classic that never disappoints! One can warm up the body with or reheat its bed for example.
- The earmuff warms our ears which tend to suffer in winter. The catch: not easy to assume it off the ski slopes ...
- The black tights outside (nothing more banal!) But fleece inside. You had to think about it!
- The heated backrest keeps our backs warm. It can also relieve some pain.
- Gel heaters for the hands: press the small patch which then diffuses heat for 30 to 45 minutes. The ideal invention for those who often have cold hands.
