My laptop does not pick up because I changed mobile operator or I switched to 4G

After 2G and 3G, mobile operators are increasingly offering 4G packages. This very high speed connection allows for much faster data transmission ... which is very attractive for consumers.
But beware, only recent smartphones are designed to receive 4G. Do not take a 4G package if your mobile phone is not a smartphone, you might not take full advantage of this package.

Before you crack for a 4G mobile plan think about checking your network coverage . Indeed, if your mobile does not pick up, it is surely because your home (or even your neighborhood) is not well covered by the new antennas. Same if you have changed mobile operator, without checking your network coverage. To check your network coverage, go to the operator's website where you will find specific maps.

If the problem persists: the solution is to buy a Femto box (free at Free and from 49 € at other operators). This small device can amplify the reception signal of your mobile phone when the walls of your home are too thick (which is often the case with old buildings and hyper insulating constructions) or that the antenna of your city is too much away from home.
