Dry, sensitive or atopic skin requires specific care throughout the year: milks, creams and oils body and face to restore skin comfort during the day but also and especially, cleansing products with moisturizing properties and nourishing that already tackle the problem in the shower!

"Gels, soaps and oils of shower surgras whose formulation contains shea butter or jojoba oil leave a microfilm on the skin. It is this superfatting agent which gives the skin the lipids necessary for the reconstruction of the skin barrier and the hydrolipidic film naturally present on the skin, "explains Philippe Deshayes, dermatologist, scientific consultant for La Roche-Posay.

The expert also specifies that a skin cleansing adapted to its dry and sensitive nature will further limit the imperfections and will allow "the hydrolipidic film to reconstitute at best".

Surgras, what does that mean?

Very concentrated in moisturizing and replenishing agents, the gels, oils and soaps surgras soften the skin on which they leave a protective veil after the shower or the bath. They allow sensitive, dry and irritated skin damaged by hygienic products not adapted - and often stripping - or limestone to regenerate and protect themselves from external aggressions.

Wash after washing, the dry skins tug and itch much less.

This type of product is perfectly suited for skin prone to allergies, chronic inflammatory skin diseases, and people prone to atopic eczema (or atopic dermatitis).

How to choose your body cleanser?

It is important to know your skin well to choose the right cleanser.

Fatty to combination skins will not technically need additional hydration. On the other hand, "dry and very dry skins, as well as atopic skins, should be nourished and hydrated, especially in the most sensitive areas such as elbows, hands, knees, neck", specifies Philippe Deshayes.

In this case, a product is chosen which approaches the natural pH of the so-called "normal" skin, ie 5.5 and which rinses easily, in order to avoid any unnecessary friction. Finally, the product is marked "surgras".

"As far as possible, I advise to associate the surgical washing products with moisturizing creams that will consolidate the moisturizing action of soap surgras", Philippe Deshayes advocates.
