Authentic celebration of the know-how of luxury homes, fashion week called "haute couture" will present its edition spring-summer 2018 in Paris from January 22 to 25. A unique fashion event in the world whose official calendar was recently unveiled by the French Federation of Couture.

In the program ? New invited members, attesting to the liveliness of this week whose legitimacy is often criticized.

We thus discover Nourreddine Amir, Moroccan creator from Marrakech whose creations with the air of real "sculptures to wear" had not failed to seduce Pierre Bergé before being exposed within his own foundation in March 2016. Other name: that of Christophe Josse, whose appointment this year as a guest member actually rings the return to the sources of the French couturier. Invited member in 2006 and permanent member from 2011, he had to put his activity in parentheses for financial reasons.

After a first successful test run during the last season, the American ready-to-wear brand Proenza Schouler reiterates by once again presenting its new collection during the sewing week. The Rodarte label, which followed him in this process, will not be present this year.

These "invited members" thus join the very closed club of the houses authorized to present their collections during the week of the Couture, its access being conditioned to strict criteria that one is "correspondent member" (Elie Saab , Viktor & Rolf, Valentino , Giorgio Armani Privé ...) or "permanent member" (Chanel, Christian Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier ...) .
