The Council of State has decided this Wednesday, February 8. The three vaccines currently mandatory in France, namely those against diphtheria , tetanus and poliomyelitis grouped under the acronym DTP, must be made available for sale alone, without association with other vaccines.

This decision follows the publication of a petition from the Institute for the Protection of Natural Health (IPSN) that has collected more than one million signatures.

Vaccine associations more expensive for sale

The highest administrative court has also asked the Ministry of Health to take the necessary measures to ensure the availability of DTP vaccines in this form alone within six months.

The majority of laboratories in fact combine these with other vaccines known as "recommended" in multipurpose injectable products type DTP, usually sold more expensive.

Although the Council of State does not consider that there is any risk concerning the distribution and use of these associated vaccines, it considers "that the law, which imposes only three vaccination requirements, necessarily implies that it is possible to comply with them using vaccines containing only these three vaccinations ".

In France, the three compulsory vaccines are subject to three group injections before the age of 18 months.
