Brushing may be a chore especially when one has hair brittle and dry. It is useless to apply masks and hair care, when the hair is really fragile, it is not enough. To answer this puzzle headdress, Kérastase brand imagined a new ritual of care in salon: Discipline.
What is Kerastase Discipline Care?
Its principle? To nourish and heal the hair deeply to facilitate blow-drying thanks to active blow-drying agents such as wheat proteins, ceramides, serine and arginine. The result promised by this super-care capillary: a brushing achieved in a few brush strokes only and soft and smooth hair up to 4 weeks. It is a bit like a Brazilian smoothing, but without chemical transformation of the hair fiber.
How does the Kérastase Discipline ritual take place? It takes between 30 minutes (and almost no exposure time) and 4 steps:
- Hair cleaning . As usual with his hairdresser, one passes to the tank and one proceeds to 1 or 2 shampoos with the new Bath Fluidéaliste of Kérastase before untangling the hair and to wring it in a towel.
- The application of the 1st Discipline treatment . Kerastase Care No. 1 is applied over the entire length of the hair. A mixture of repulping morpho-constituent ingredients and polymers intended to coat the capillary fiber with a first care layer. Without rinsing, the hair is dried and the penetration of Care No. 1 is activated by means of hot plates. The heat helping the assets to be "sealed" in the hair fiber.
- The application of the 2nd Discipline treatment . After a new shampoo, apply Kerastase Care No. 2, rich in morpho-keratin and smoothing and nourishing ceramides . One passes again to the tank before applying the Fluidissime Spray in final touch on all the hair. This helps to tame the last rebellious frizz and protect the fiber from heat.
- Formatting . The Discipline of Kérastase is finished by drying and styling the hair with the hair dryer then with the plates. The brushing is obviously nickel.
Why do we validate this treatment?
Our verdict? The promise of the name is at the rendezvous: in the morning, whether you wash your hair or not, they are easier to comb. The blow-dryers will find their hair more "receptive" to blow-drying. No more brush strokes that hang. The softness and repair of the hair is immediate but especially hard in time: up to 15/20 days without using Kerastase Discipline products at home. And more than a month if you invest in the products of the range. The catch? Investing in the complete range Discipline costs more than the institute care itself: 120 € against 75 €. Finally, on hair really damaged, the effects of the Discipline care fade rather quickly. In this case, nothing replaces an equalization of her haircut . Our opinion: at 75 €, the price of this ritual remains affordable especially for a pro treatment that lasts 1 month.
How to maintain Kérastase Discipline care at home ? Ideally, to keep hair smooth and soft for more than a month, it is better to continue the Kerastase Discipline ritual in its bathroom. Its shampoos and regular hair care are replaced by the range of the same name:
- the Fluidéaliste bath (with or without sulphates, for colored or non-colored hair)
- the Fluidéaliste fondant (or the conditioner in the range)
- the Maskeratine Mask
- Fluidissime Spray
The goal of this new capillary routine: daily control of frizz and rebellious hair , facilitating blow-drying and prolonging the effects of the Discipline care.
