ingredients

- 600 g turnips
- 200 g potatoes
- 1 onion
- 4 thin slices of smoked bacon
- 100 g croutons
- 1 liter of chicken broth
- 1 dl of milk
- 1 dl of thick cream
- 1 tbsp. to s. olive oil

Equipment

- 1 diver mixer
- 1 nonstick skillet
- 4 large bowls or 4 soup plates

Steps

Step 1

Cook: brush turnips, peel potatoes, cut whole dice. Slice the onion, melt it over low heat in a saucepan with the oil, without browning. Add turnips, potatoes and broth, cover, simmer 30-35 min.

2nd step

Complete: when the vegetables are very tender, salt, mix in the pan, heat over high heat. At the first broth, remove from heat, add milk and cream, black pepper from the grinder. Cover.

Step 3

To serve: brown the bacon in the pan, it must lose fat and crisp. Pour soup into soup plates or bowls. Sow half of the bacon and 4 half-slices and croutons. Serve immediately.

tips

- Variation: For a warm orange hue, replace the turnips with parsnip, another root vegetable with a mild flavor.
