Joss Devilleneuve, founder of the Eyebrow Workshop, gives us her tips for adopting the right make-up gestures for structured eyebrows and an intense look.

The eyebrow pencil, a bestseller

Among the multitude of makeup products available to redraw the eyebrows, Joss helps us to see clearly. "Products are now more and more numerous in the eyewear market," says the eye specialist, "the bestseller for drawing the easiest eyebrows in the world remains the pencil". Why ? "It melts easily and cleanses naturally."

The pro also advises to use a pencil and a clear fixer gel for an impeccable result: "one draws and the other disciplines the eyebrow and ensures a nice shape all day".

Gel, powder, permaline: other eyebrow products

The fixing gel, natural or tinted, comes rather in addition to the pencil. "You can use it alone on eyebrows already well drawn naturally," says Joss.

As for the powder, we prefer it if we look for a natural drawing but it takes less time.

Finally, the permaline, "an innovative texture that allows a very long lasting up to 24 hours" - and which also has the advantage of being waterproof - offers a powdered result.

Natural or sophisticated, with every desired effect its product

The "right" eyebrow makeup product depends primarily on the desired effect. The main difference between the products formulated for the brows is based on the texture but also on the application technique.

• If we look for a natural look, we put more on a powder, but Joss specifies that the application is a little more technical.
• If we look for a more sophisticated eyebrow, we put on the pencil. We can also blur the pencil line, too strict, to mix easy application and natural result.

For beginners, Joss recommends choosing the makeup product that is the easiest to use.
