Itching, light skin sores ... Having dry skin is a real calvary. Fortunately, there are solutions for those who suffer.

Cosmetics to the rescue of dry skin

Moisturizing is the secret to ending dry skin. Obviously, it happens first of all by feeding: it is refueled by drinking a lot of water and consuming foods rich in water. And sometimes (often even), the diet is not enough. In these cases nothing is worth the small help given by the adapted cosmetics: body milks, creams, lotions, body butters, night masks, shower gels ... and we choose ingredients known for their moisturizing power as the shea butter, honey, coconut ...

5 Good Habits to Stop Dry Skin

Having dry skin is not inevitable. Here are 5 simple gestures to adopt daily:

  1. To drink . Our body is made up of 65% water. Between perspiration and the rest, it is essential to hydrate properly to maintain this rate. In addition, little drinking alters the cohesion of the superficial cells of the epidermis, which weakens and dries the skin. In short, we can never repeat it enough: it is essential to drink at least 1.5 L of water per day!
  2. Limit showers to what is strictly necessary . Limestone water attacks the fragile skin barrier of dry skin. Allied to a strong shower gel, the stripping effect may be a little too strong for our skin. As a result, the skin dries out more quickly. It is better to limit the showers as much as possible ... and rely on good care. Choose soap-free or soap-free cleaners that are less harmful.
  3. Choose your clothes . Irritant materials have an impact on the skin, and it is all the more important when the skin is dry and fragile. The snowball effect is avoided: in winter, when the skin is weakened by the ambient cold, irritant materials such as woollens and synthetic materials are avoided. The good solution ? Prefer cotton.
  4. Check the heater correctly . Simple and logical. Increasing the heating tends to dry the ambient air ... which also dehydrates the skin. Better therefore lower the temperature, and humidify the housing with humidifiers, diffusers or water cups.
  5. Eat omega-3 . Omega-3 essential fatty acids are present in the skin, where they ensure the cohesion of the cells of the epidermis, their proper functioning, as well as an anti-inflammatory action. However, our diet is low in omega-3. At times when one is particularly weakened by the weather or the hormones, one offers an omega-3 cure to be at the top. They are found in fatty fish, nuts, rapeseed oil ...
