EXFOLIATION: AN ESSENTIAL CARE

Body exfoliation is a beauty gesture needed to get rid of dead cells, promote circulation and eliminate toxins. To erase its body is an essential care that allows to renew the epidermis, to slow the aging of the skin and to retain a radiant complexion. This weekly gesture also allows the skin to better absorb the moisturizing products. In the palette of cosmetics proposed to erase the skin, have you ever thought of the exfoliating sponge? Various models are commercially available. Some sponges will be more strippy than others, and will preferably be used on the drier parts of the body. Other sponges, softer, can be used without problems all over the body and face.

WHAT EXFOLIATING SPONGE CHOOSE?

Among the commercially available models are exfoliating sponges that combine body care and ecology. This is the case of the konjac sponge. This sponge is made from the roots of konjac, a plant originally from Asia. The sponge is 100% natural and biodegradable. It has the peculiarity of cleansing and exfoliating the skin gently. It can be used both on the body and on the face.

Its soft action is suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive. If all sponges do not come from vegetable matter, some are still manufactured with a view to respecting the environment. For example, exfoliating sponges are produced by recycling plastic bottles. These sponges, richer than konjac sponges, are ideal for exfoliating the driest parts of the body. They are particularly suitable for elbows, legs and heels. On the other hand, avoid using them on the most sensitive parts of the body and on the face.

HOW DOES AN EXFOLIATING SPONGE BE USED?

Nothing could be simpler than rubbing the skin with an exfoliating sponge. In the shower, once the body is wet, place a small amount of shower gel on your sponge, or rub the sponge against the soap. Squeeze all over the body massaging with small circular movements. Take your time on the driest areas. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water to remove all dead skin. Once out of the shower, apply a moisturizing cream or oil to the face and body. The skin needs to be nourished and hydrated after being exfoliated. Exfoliating scrub should not be used more than once a week. Depending on the type of skin, it can even be done once every two weeks.
